Reds midfielder Bolo Zenden has backed fellow Dutchman Dirk Kuyt to offer Liverpool more than just goals this season.
The £10 million signing from Feyenoord made his debut appearance as a second half substitute in Saturday' 2-1 win over West Ham and made an instant impact with an all action display.
"You've seen already he is a player with a lot of energy and someone who cannot only score goals but deliver the passes for others," said Zenden.
"He's much more than just a goalscorer. It was a good opportunity for him on Saturday to play in between the midfield and forward lines. He likes to twist and turn and get at the defence and everyone saw what he could do.
"He's shown in one game he's a very good signing for us.
"I knew as soon as there was interest from England he would be the kind of player who would do well in this country.
"Even before the manager made his decision to sign him, I thought Dirk was a striker suited to this style of football."
