Rafael Benitez has demanded more of a killer instinct from his players after Liverpool celebrated the 100th birthday of the Kop with a narrow 2-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield.
Daniel Agger scored the sort of debut goal in front of the famous century-old stand any striker would die for, let alone a raw Danish defender, while new signing Dirk Kuyt´s impressive debut underlined why Benitez has spent two years trying to sign him.
But the Spanish boss insisted his team must become more ruthless, saying:
"That was a difficult game against a good side. What we must be able to do is to kill teams off with a third goal in that situation."
