Liverpool will be without defenders Jamie Carragher and John Arne Riise for the trip to Kiev after both players picked up ankle injuries on Saturday.
Danish centre-back Daniel Agger is expected to replace Carragher and partner Sami Hyypia in defence.
Stephen Warnock and Fabio Aurelio are in the running to slot in at left-back.
The Reds, 2-1 up from the first leg, are also able to welcome back Steve Finnan and midfield duo Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia from injury.
