A week of high points for teenage footballer Paul Anderson has seen him sign his future to Liverpool until 2010.

Anderson, from John O'Gaunt, signed the two-year extension on to his current contract at the Anfield giants on Tuesday afternoon. Liverpool supremo Rafa Benitez was keen to secure the midfielder's signature before he flew with the first team to Switzerland for a pre-season tour, with the deal done just minutes before take-off.
The deal secures Paul's future at the current FA Cup holders until at least 2010.
Dad Phil said:
"He was absolutely thrilled about it. For a club like Liverpool to recognise his talent and show he has a long-term future with them is absolutely brilliant."
The offer came in a whirlwind couple of days which saw Paul asked to join a strong first team touring party of 26 on Monday, the day after his 18th birthday. He flew out the following afternoon alongside the likes of England internationals Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch.
The three-match tour kicked off against Kaiserslautern on the weekend, next its Grasshoppers of Zurich (Tuesday evening) and it concludes in Germany against FSV Mainz. He returns to England on August 4, just weeks ahead of the new season kick-off.
Phil said:
"When all the big guys came back for training and they were talking about only 26 for the tour, we thought he may be left here, but they have taken him. To get another 10 days of training with those players is fantastic."
It has been a stunning month for the former Melton Foxes player who received a surprise call-up to the Anfield's first team training this month and scored on his debut after five minutes of a 2-0 friendly win at Wrexham. He made his second first team appearance on Saturday in a 1-0 win at Crewe.
