Has anyone else noticed how quiet the 'Daniel Alves Transfer' has gone - two months ago it was almost done, then, Bellamy, Gonzalez, Aurelio & Paletta later, everything went stagnant.
As I understood it, it was only a matter of 'sorting out a few minor details'.
On June 26th, we were told that it would be done and dusted within the week (see here), now nothing.
I am quite concerned over this as I've said all along that he would be the best possible summer signing and as versatile as he is, he could play a major role in the 2006/7 campaign.
The question now is, has Rafa been playing 'Hardball' in an attempt to get Sevilla to lower their price? Have the Reds decided to focus elsewhere and concentrate on other positions or has the whole affair been bungled?
Only time will tell..... but one things' for sure - he'll no longer be Liverpool's first ever Brazilian.
