Liverpool have completed the signing of Brazilian defender Fabio Aurelio from manager Rafa Benitez's former club, Valencia.

Aurelio, 26, has signed a four-year contract and is expected to start pre-season training this week. Aurelio, a free transfer, is a left-sided defender who can also play at wing-back.
He is delighted to be linking up with Benitez again and said:
"I have had some of my most successful professional years working with Benitez and I am delighted that he has the faith in me to do well for him again.
"I am grateful to the people of Valencia for the last six years of my life, but I have to leave based on my desire and ambition in football.
"I am sad to leave Valencia, but a footballer's life is not a long one and I have to make the most of my career.
"I am not afraid about adapting to England. It is European football and I already know it well. Perhaps there will be a more physical side than in Spain, but that is not going to be a problem for me."
