French club, Rennes have signed Liverpool FC midfielder Bruno Cheyrou for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old, capped three times by France, has been away from Anfield for two seasons, with loan spells at Olympique de Marseille and FC Girondins de Bordeaux. He made 48 appearances for Liverpool after joining in 2002.
Thanks, Bruno, for one of the great moments of recent years - your 33rd minute strike against Chelsea which gave us an unexpected win (1-0) at Stamford Bridge in 2004.
Bruno was unfortunately not quite the right man for the midfield job at Anfield, a fact which became painfully apparent as the Rafalution began to take off.
We wish him well with his new club.
