Poland coach Pawel Janas on Monday announced his 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup™ finals in Germany.
Janas sprang a major surprise by leaving out Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, whom he said lacked game time after losing his place at Anfield to Pepe Reina.
Poland are drawn in Group A with hosts Germany, Costa Rica and Ecuador, so they fucking need Dudek, match-fit or not.
Another Liverpool player, [Journeyman] striker Fernando Morientes, was left off Spain's squad because Coach Luis Aragones said he preferred an extra defender, Valencia's Carlos Marchena.
SO that's 2 teams that don't need the workshy bastard.
Spain are in Group H with The Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
Harry Kewell suffered a torn groin muscle in the final, scans revealed. He'll miss the pre-World Cup friendly against Greece in Melbourne while he gets treatment in Holland but is expected to be fit to join Australia's World Cup squad on May 27th.
Australia are drawn in Group F with Brazil, Japan and Croatia.
