Just read a piece by Scott Parker and the reason he signed for Newcastle and not Everton. It's a quoted piece by CE, Keith Wynass.

Apparently, the fee and wages were all agreed to by Parker and Chelsea but then his agent asked for a million for himself. Everton said no..........Shepherd said yes.

It's a bit of a way from the rumour that Everton couldn't/wouldn't pay the wages isn't it? You can't blame the club imo, agents getting a million is fine by me as long as it's the player paying it for services rendered. Sadly, it's the clubs having to pay it and well done to Everton for refusing - never thought I'd be saying that!
